Panoramic Photography. GeoMotion consistently provides higher quality images and faster download times than other panoramic systems.

Panoramic photographs are important marketing collateral: they require the same kind of technical expertise and "grooming" that you would expect with any other form of commercial photography.

Popular panoramic systems today meet the lowest common denominator of operator skill and cost savings--2 quick shots, an automatic stitch, and no post-production. This is roughly equivalent to having your marketing photos produced with an instamatic camera and developed at the corner drugstore.

Protecting your investment. When you have panoramic photos produced, ask for the original high-resolution source images in a standard format such as TIFF or JPEG (at GeoMotion you won't have to ask).

  The Geo Panorama Viewer. This is the "Mercedes Benz" of panorama viewers, and flexibility is the operative word. Beyond the normal tilt, zoom, and pan controls, this is the only viewer that will let you:
  • Switch between cylindrical and spherical formats dynamically, so you don't waste people's time sending out pictures of ceilings, floors, skies and pavement (normally 50% of a spherical image);
  • Switch between warped and non-warped views dynamically. Warping is used to straighten out the curvature that appears in some panoramic images. It degrades image quality and slows down the display. You choose which display mode works best;
  • Customize the control panel. You decide what controls to supply and how they should look;
  • Send Electronic Postcards. Just for fun (and marketers can have fun, too), our viewer lets you send any panoramic view as an electronic postcard;

  • Link the panoramic views to the maps. Refer to the Geo Map Viewer below for more information.

Normally panoramic people don't do maps, and map people don't do panoramas. GeoMotion does both--side by side. The result is that you know where you are and which way you're looking. This is a requirement for almost everything beyond a single view of a single room. The fact is that people get lost in virtual environments even more than they do in the real world.

The Geo Map Viewer provides "basic" GIS functions--all maps and floorplans are geo-coded, and multiple layers of icons can be displayed.

Both the Geo Map Viewer and Geo Panorama Viewer are implemented in Java. The Geo Pan Viewer communicates it's current angle of view to the Geo Map Viewer to support the "you are here" animated icon.
