Banners, Placements, Display Ads, and Sponsored Tours

GeoMotion offers a wide range of promotional opportunities, reaching well beyond the "banner and tile" mentality of the Old Web.

We are also equipped to offer our services with no promotional content whatsoever.

  Host Websites.

Ad-Free Services. Advertising banners and promotional content are simply not acceptable to many of our host websites. We are well-attuned to this requirement and have prepared our services in such a way that all sponsored and promotional material can be completely eliminated.

Private Banners. If you are hosting a GeoMotion service on your website, you may wish to sell banner ads for these pages to your own sponsors or customers. These banners are site-specific, only appearing on pages accessed through your own website.

Product Placement. GeoMotion can place product images or sponsor logos within the panoramic images. These "product placements" can be made on any panorama in the GeoMotion guide, but they are host-specific, so they only appear on pages accessed through your own website. Product placements can have captions, highlight, and "click-through" capabilities.

  Sponsors.

The Trouble with Banners. Because of the requirements of many of our key hosts, GeoMotion does not offer an extensive banner advertising program. The use of banners is limited to the Private Banners and Product Placement programs described above.

Sponsored Tours. Instead of banners, we have pioneered the concept of "Sponsored Tours." For each major destination, GeoMotion develops and maintains a library of featured tours that help lead visitors to the cultural highlights--literary tours, historic tours, pub tours, art tours, and the like. These supplementary materials are optional to our hosts--they can make selections from the library according to the interests of their viewers.

Following a model akin to public television, many of these tours carry discrete but clearly visible sponsorship. Having your logo integrated into an engaging tour in this way can be far more effective than simply slapping a banner at the top of the page.
 

Member Businesses.

If you are listed in one of the GeoMotion directories, then you are a GeoMotion Member and have a GeoMotion account. There are a variety of programs to increase your visibility within the GeoMotion directories.

Enhanced Services. Members with enhanced services are called out in the directories, maps, and special tours. A Virtual Tour of your property is of course the best way to "get on the map." Tours vary in complexity, but they all let people get inside your doors for a look around. Depending on what you do, other enhanced services may be available, including menus, schedules, and product catalogs. If you're giving visitors something to look at, we'll let them know!

Display Ads. GeoMotion offers a display ad or mini-website builder that let's you construct anything from a one-page display ad to a fully functioning website. These materials are automatically linked from your directory listing in any GeoMotion directory.

Inline Tiles. Inline tiles appear in the GeoMotion directory listings. (They do not appear down the right side of the pages, as on some other popular city-guide websites.) These tiles are an effective way to grab the eye and convey your personality instantly. They function as a click-through link to your display ad, mini-site, or primary website.

Website Links. In the interest of our visitors, we try to provide information quickly and consistently within the context of the GeoMotion guide. We don't emphasize links to external websites, but we certainly do provide them for our members.
